purpose of the corporation:

Patches Place dba Lawrence County CARES Center was established to link the public non-profit services and the private sectors to improve service opportunities for Lawrence county residents who are limited primarily by mental illness and/or drug and alcohol abuse. Specific purposes are defined below:

• To support the behavioral health, public health, human and social services programs by facilitating access to quality services and new programs

• To develop access to an array of housing, work and social opportunities linked to the public mental health and/or drug and alcohol abuse services and other populations as determined by the Board of Directors.

• To demonstrate new recovery oriented program models, to provide an administrative entity for fostering new programs and support.
